Come and see
When people asked Jesus where he was staying, he didn’t give a long explanation.
He simply said, “Come and see.”
That’s still the invitation.
Join us this Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Casual. Children are welcome. Coffee is ready.
Not to have everything figured out.
Not to believe all the right things.
Just to come and see what God is doing here.
What life looks like at First Pres
Life isn’t just something we talk about on Sundays.
It’s something we share—through worship, relationships, service, and hope that shows up in real ways.
Worship
We gather for worship every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.—in person and online.
You’ll find music, prayer, scripture, and a message grounded in real life.
You’ll also find people who are still learning, still growing, still asking questions.
Community
Life happens in the spaces between Sundays, too.
- Midweek dinners where people linger and laugh
- Bible studies where conversation matters more than having the “right” answer
- Choir, music, and shared leadership
- Children, youth, and adults learning together
You don’t have to force your way in.
There’s room for you here.
Care
We try to show up for one another—not just in good moments, but in hard ones too.
- Grief support groups and ongoing care
- Prayer, meals, and quiet acts of kindness
- A community that notices and reaches out
No one is meant to carry life alone.
Service
We believe faith is something you live.
- Ongoing partnership with the Woodstock Food Pantry
- Support for neighbors through Woodstock Area Community Ministries
- Hands-on mission, local and global
- Community efforts like the Rummage Sale and Giving Tree
We don’t do this perfectly. But we keep showing up.
Justice and inclusion
We believe God’s love is for all people, without exception.
We are an open and affirming congregation, and we strive to be a place where all people are fully welcomed and included.
We also participate in our wider community—showing up, listening, and working toward a more just and compassionate world.
Creation care
Caring for the earth is part of our faith.
From recycling and energy stewardship to our pollinator gardens and battery recycling, we try to live with gratitude and responsibility.

A word from Pastor Eric
If you’re looking for a place where you can be yourself, ask honest questions, and grow in faith alongside others, I hope you’ll join us.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to walk through the door. None of us do.
There’s a place for you here.
